Things that frustrate us about other sites

There are a lot of things that frustrated us - That's one of the reasons Snowbird.Net exists - but here's a partial list of pet peeves.

Their Print is too small, the layout isn't logical, pages take forever to load, and you can't find what you're looking for.

What's Different about Snowbird.Net

Print size: We've got some pretty strong opinions about print size and design. More on that under communications commandments. But the bottom line is this. Snowbird.Net is designed to be visually appealing and actually readable! 

Page loading: Snowbird.Net is content rich. Pages load relatively quickly because we don't include a lot of fancy animation or cute background noises. 

What we do include is lots of content, and lots of navigation tools.

Internal layout: Snowbird.Net is consistent, logical and easy. Consistent design means that you get used to the way things are laid out on a page. Your computer appreciates consistency too, because it takes less time to load subsequent pages. 

The "no snow" zone is organized into logical major categories with specializations listed under each one. Major Categories are listed on right hand side and can actually be reached from virtually all pages (what a concept!)

Finding stuff: If we've done a good job then finding stuff should be fairly easy but if you want to narrow your search down even more, then use the search tool which is easily accessible by clicking on search at the top of the navigation bar on the right hand side.

The entire site is fully indexed, so you can search for things by region (e.g. Antarctica) By category (e.g. Real Estate) or by any keyword you think might relate to your area of interest (e.g. Penguin)
