The Snowbird.Net 10 Communication Commandments

If there is one good thing we can all do, it's raise the level of communication standards for SnowBirds. We use standards that are based on the CNIB guidelines for visual clarity.

But put in plain terms, it can be summarized by our "no-snow" communication commandments.

1. Make it big enough for me to read ! (we use 10 point fonts)

2. Make it non-glare (we use textured matte backgrounds)

3. Don't talk louder at me, talk clearer to me.

4. Use a $1 word, not a $10 word if you can

5. Use short sentences to express an idea

6. Put space between ideas to keep them separate.

7. Don't overuse different fonts (It looks like a ransom note)

8. Don't treat me like an idiot. I'm mature, not senile.

9. If you have nothing to say, don't fill the space just because you think you have to.
